The cult of St. Michael the Archangel in Padula has been officially included in the Campania Region’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List, a nomination strongly supported by Parish Priest Don Giuseppe Radesca, prepared and presented in January 2025 with the contribution of the Committee for the Patronal Feast and the Grottelle.
The Campania Region’s decision recognizes the immense cultural, historical, and identity-building value of the devotional practices associated with St. Michael the Archangel, which for centuries have been a cornerstone of the religious and community life of the entire city of Padula.
This inscription represents a source of pride for our entire community, which sees recognition of the value of its traditions and the cultural heritage it has preserved with deep devotion for centuries.
