On Saturday 9 September 2023 we had the pleasure of opening the doors of the Hermitage of San Michele alle Grottelle to S.E. Monsignor Andrea Bellandi, Archbishop of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno, and the seminarians of the John Paul II Metropolitan Seminary accompanied by Don Francesco Morena and Don Andrea la Regine, for a moment of private reflection and prayer.

For the occasion, the volunteer custodians of the Sanctuary welcomed and introduced the guests to the Paduan Micaelic cult and the history of the Hermitage.

SELF. Mons. Andrea Bellandi expressed satisfaction with “the experience with the seminarians of the John Paul II Metropolitan Seminary as the place is of very great spirituality and tradition. A very suggestive place that testifies to a faith rooted in these lands in the memory of Archangel Michael and through the presence of the Carthusian monks of the Certosa, it continued over time and today it remains a place of great attraction and great prayer, so for us it was a very intense moment. We celebrated Holy Mass and we were also helped to grasp all the richness of this place, therefore thanks to those who introduced us to enjoy these beauties of which we can still boast“.
