Solemn celebrations in honor of the Patron Saint Michael the Archangel, in Padula.

After the first appointments to approach the feast of our Patron Saint, with the local football square, the presentation of the padulasacra.it portal and the conference The Southern Micaelic Way: from Capua to the Gargano, the time of the Novena to be experienced begins this evening as a path of progressive approach to the mystery of God (from 19 to 26 May, 6.30 pm Holy Rosary; 7.00 pm Holy Mass and Novena at the Church of San Michele Arcangelo).

The celebrations for San Michele Arcangelo will culminate on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May, with a very rich calendar of events.

SATURDAY 27 May

3.00 pm – Procession through the streets of the Padulo area

4.00 pm – Inflatables and entertainment for children in Piazza Umberto I

19:30 – Holy Mass in the Church of San Michele Arcangelo

8.30 pm – Blessing and lighting of the fires

to follow – Padula and its Angel: Sacred representation of the cult of Michael in Padula (L.go 1st July, L.go S.Eligio, L.go S.Angelo, L.go S.Pietro Caduto, P.zza Umberto I ).

SUNDAY 28 May

8:30 am – Holy Mass presided over by the Rev. Don Vincenzo Federico (Church of San Michele Arcangelo)

9:30 am – Procession of San Francesco and San Giovanni from the convent of San Francesco to the mother church of San Michele Arcangelo

10:30 am – Solemn Eucharistic Concelebration presided over by the parish priest Don Giuseppe Radesca and Act of Consecration of the City of Padula to the Patron Saint (Church of San Michele Arcangelo). Procession through the streets of the Historic Center

18:30 – Mass of thanksgiving presided over by the Rev. Don Luciano La Peruta (Church of San Michele Arcangelo). Procession towards the Church of Sant’Antonio

9.30 pm – Ticket extraction – GIANNI CELESTE in concert (Piazza Umberto I)

12.00 pm – Fireworks and return to the Mother Church of San Michele Arcangelo.
