The first presentation event of the Padula Sacra project was held at the Certosa di San Lorenzo, in the Sala Sanseverino.
An important event that saw the reflection on the various actions undertaken to enhance the Padulese area and the entire Vallo di Diano more and more.
The plan that defines the objectives to be achieved is based on an idea of community, ready to support the complex situations of degradation, depopulation and abandonment of the territory by young people. With the start-up of institutional, ecclesial, university, associative circuits and the introduction of positive energies also coming from “young” companies, an attempt is made to enhance both architectural elements and support the work of contrasting the depopulation of the historic center with a determined and clear cultural, social and aggregative incentive.
Taking part in the meeting were the Mayor Michela Cimino, the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Culture, Caterina Di Bianco, the Vice-President and Councilor for Tourism of the Vallo di Diano Mountain Community, Dr. Antonio Pagliarulo, the parish priest Don Giuseppe Radesca, who gave an anthropological, jubilee and cultural vision of the local community, Settimio Rienzo Head of Paths who described an ecclesial cultural park in Vallo di Diano.
The presentation of the project and the restoration of the Hermitage of San Michele alle Grottelle entrusted to the architect Alessandro Cancellaro who, together with the architect Maurizio Cocilova who worked on the renovation.
The presentation of the communication project was entrusted to the Insight Communication project manager, Dr. Gabriella Infante.
During the conference, Prof. Valeria Cera of the Urban/Eco Interdepartmental Center of the Federico II University of Naples, showed the progress of the research conducted with Prof. Massimiliano Campi, as part of the scientific collaboration agreement established between the Interdepartmental Center of Urban Research / Eco Research Center of the University of Naples Federico II and the Diocese of Teggiano-Policastro.
